Umbraco is a leading .NET based open source web based content management platform. This is built on the Microsoft .NET technology stack and can be configured to store content in a number of relational databases like SQL Server. Content from Umbraco is delivered out through a web site, usually hosted in IIS. XSLT is used as the main presentation technology. This architecture supports a high level of flexibility in customization and ease of integration with the existing technologies with lesser effort.
